An ordinary afternoon
We almost didn’t go to that café. It was a regular afternoon, the kind you expect to forget by the end of the week. Emilia had a notebook, Oliver had a book, and both of us were simply looking for a quiet place to spend an hour.
A question about an empty chair became a conversation about favorite places, childhood memories, and the books we kept recommending to everyone. The coffee went cold. The afternoon slipped away. Neither of us seemed to mind.

When we finally stepped outside, the city felt familiar and new at the same time. We exchanged numbers with an easy “see you around,” not knowing that we would soon be planning another coffee, then another walk, then a hundred ordinary days that would become extraordinary to us.
